"SIR CHIEF" RICHARD YAP ONE NIGHT ONLY TONIGHT

By GEORGE VAIL KABRISTANTE
PMPC (Phil. Movie Press Club)
Farmed out in different versions to Pilipino Mirror, Remate Tonight, Iskandal, pmpcstarnews.com, CMT (Columnists Monitoring Team), etc.

Dubbed “Heart and Songs with 'Sir' Chief (Richard Yap... Live at Zirkoh!),” the musical event will showcase Richard Yap's talent for singing and performing before a live audience; he will render songs - ballads and acoustics, to name a few - that he had previously performed during his high school Glee Club days.
Richard will sing live (not lypsinch)  tonight, Saturday, July 13, at 10PM at the Zirkoh Bar, along Tomas Morato, Quezon City.
This comes after Richard, the 46-year old actor shines in  “Be Careful With My Heart “ with the equally lovable Jodi Sta. Maria, who's been identified with her role as Maya (to Richard's 'Sir Chief') in the phenomenal hit daytime drama series for ABS-CBN.
To digress, my fearless forecast  is  Richard might just bag  Best Actor award in the film version of “Be Careful…” in the coming Metro Manila Filmfest megged by award-winning director Jeff Jeturian.
He may not be your regular singing heartthrob, but in his own charming ways, popular TV actor and most sought-after product endorser and upcoming singer-recording artist, Richard Yap, promises to win over his giddy audiences who have become his most ardent followers.
With guest-singer-performers Michael Pangilinan, Marion Aunor, Betty La Fea, and Bea Borres; the Sexbomb and actor, Arjo Atayde, who will dance the night away; and Janella Salvador, Sir Chief's daughter, Nikki, in Be Careful With My Heart makes a special appearance in a night of fun, music and bit of nostalgia.
Sponsors to the show are as follows:  Amigo Segurado Spaghetti and Macaroni,  Barley Gastropub, ABS-CBN, Aficionado Germany, BNY, and Kim Atienza.
For ticket inquiries, please call of text: 0926-4937846 and Tel. No. 921-6196.
The fund-raising benefit show is a production of the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC).

DIRECTORS MANNY Q. PALO’S SUFFERING ACTRESSES & CATHY GARCIA-MOLINA IN HER WINNING PEKPEK SHORTS

By George Vail Kabristante
PMPC (Phil. Movie Press Club)

Farmed out in different versions to Pilipino Mirror, Remate Tonite, Iskandal, pmpcstarnews, Columnists Monitoring Team (CMT), etc.

Director Manny Q.Palo

Kathryn & Daniel

Aaron Domingo you know who last night had a back-to-back press briefs for two coming teleseryes  from the unbeatable ABS-CBN  “Muling Buksan Ang Puso” (in English” Unlock The Love Again”)  to replace “Apoy Sa Dagat” by Directors Manny Q. Palo viz-a-viz Nuel C. Naval and  the “franchise” blockbuster “Got To Believe” by the lady director famous for her gleaming pair of  flawless legs in pek-pek (okay pussy) shorts Cathy Garcia-Molina. Saan ka pa?

Director Cathy Garcia-Molina

Director Manny Q. Palo of “Sta. Nina” fame (think two acting awards for Assunta de Rossi & Anita Linda in recent filmfest abroad and in Manunuri as well) has one Cinemalaya filmfest entry come July billed “David F,” his nationalist take and scriptwriter Liza Magtoto’s on the black Americans who defected to and sided with the Filipino warriors fighting against the American colonialists during World War II. Panlaban ito ni Direk Manny sa nasabing filmfest.
At the Q & A portion, Direk Manny led us into the veteran actresses Susan Roces’s and Pilar Pilapil’s  more than cooperative attitudes on the set.  Imagine Susan Roces leaving for Batangas location at 3: 00 a.m. to get on the set at 7:00, and packing up at almost dawnbreak.
Same with  Pilar Pilapil who had to shoot way beyond midnight despite her asthma attacks. Lahat sa pagmamahal ng kanilang teleserye  with  triangulated cast Julia Montes, Enrique Gil, and Enchong Dee.
Count in other heavyweights from previous mainstream movie industry like the top board member now of the first District of the province of Rizal Jestoni Alarcon & re-elected Vice-Governor of Bulacan Daniel Fernando who was Elias in National Artist Eddie Romero’s version of “Noli Me Tangere.”
Another top-rater in the works.

DIRECTOR CATHY GARCIA-MOLINA ONCE MORE IN HER WINNING PEKPEK SHORTS

“GotTo Believe” press brief was equally exhilarating watching onstage the country’s two hottest love team  Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo alongside Director Cathy Garcia-Molina who looks great in her patented, pekpek shorts with charming banters to the audience  from Carmina Villaroel,  Benjie Paras and Ian Veneracion minus Manilyn Reynes and Al Tantay
When asked about how she deals with the two lovey-dovey  underage actors on the set, Director Cathy was forthright in telling the euphoric audience who are at heart fans or suckers for well-crafted teleseryes na hindi lang siya concern with making the two more than capable performers which they are, kundi pati na rin in making them live their lives offcam the way it ought to be as she herself if you still don’t know is a widowed  mom in-progress. “Parang serving as their giya ba,”  she says.
From the teaser, it looks like “Got To Believe” is a little out –of- the box, an experiment- of- sort in which the characters seemed to cross beaten boundaries showing more mirth & lightness  than heart-tugging drama.  Got to watch it to believe what I’m saying.
Ratings- wise it might work well in that direction the way “Be Careful With My Heart” has lorded over the pa-cute romance department. Let’s see to that magic soon of the certified love team ng bansa.  Saan ka pa?
